Dr. Sam Taraporevala (Director):Dr. Taraporevala is a Reader in the Department of Sociology, St. Xavier’s College with nearly two decades of teaching and research experience. He has been responsible for conceptualizing, setting up and running the XRCVC which he believes would be playing a pivotal role in the lives of not only the visually challenged students of the college, but also to enrich the lives of other persons similarly placed across the country.sam@xrcvc.org Ms. Chrissie D’Costa (Project Coordinator):Ms Chrissie D’Costa is in charge of the Social Involvement Programme at St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. She teaches Communicative English and has previously worked as a journalist and a researcher on public health issues.chrissie@xrcvc.org Ms. Neha Trivedi (Project Consultant):Ms. Trivedi, a student of Psychology from St. Xavier’s College, has done a Master’s in Social Work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. Over the past few years she has worked with non-profit organisations on issues of disability, platform/street children and rural development.neha@xrcvc.org Mr. Prashant Naik (Project Manager):Mr. Prashant Naik has studied electronics engineering and materials management. He is well versed with computer operations and has seven years work experience in the IT field. He was in charge of the Cyber Café of the National Association for the Blind (NAB), India. He is certified as a Computer Trainer for the blind by Enable-India, Bangalore.prashant@xrcvc.org Mr. Aniket Gupta (Administrative Officer):“Mr Aniket Gupta has been working with the XRCVC since 2004. He is a commerce graduate from St.Xavier’s College, Mumbai and has an avid interest in photography.
